‘Hip’ was born in a non-mainstream culture that rejected trends and pursued their own individuality.
However, in Korea, it means a trendy, cool, and trendy look.
The appearance of Korean seniors dressing up with their own fashion sense regardless of fashion seems to have both the original meaning of 'HIP' and its own meaning in Korea. This ‘HIPSTER’ exhibition consists of the photographic works of ‘senior street fashion people’ captured in Dongmyo by photographer Donghyun Kim and the reinterpreted painting works of artist Gwaja Ji.
